I decided to make a list of 50 different side quests that you can do to start to build more confidence and trust in yourself.
For some people, you’re ready for a life-changing challenge, for others start with just the beginning steps.
Most of these I have done, some I have not. I would love your thoughts! Anything that you have done that you could add to this list?
Beginner
- Sit in nature with no phone for 2 hours
- Go to karaoke and sing your favorite song
- Write your mom and dad a letter and thank them for your life
- Run a 5K
- Post on social media 30 days straight
- Take 30 days off your social media
- Learn how to cook your favorite meal
- Get your gun license and learn how to shoot a gun
- Keep a journal every day for 90 days
- Volunteer at a women’s or homeless shelter
Medium Toughness
- Read a book a month for a year
- Make a TED talk and deliver it to your friends
- Wake up every day at 5 o’clock for 30 days straight
- Go to a Tony Robbins event
- Meditate for 30 days straight
- Leave your server a $1000 tip, tell no one
- Do a Spartan race
- Host a workshop and teach a skill you have
- Write a thank you note and mail it to somebody for 30 days straight
- Do the Murph challenge
Sort of Hard
- Go to an open mic night and try comedy
- Prospect 100 contacts in one day in your business
- Book a solo trip with no phone or technology for 48 hours
- Set up a shop online and sell something
- Go to a Joe Dispenza 7 day meditation retreat
- Host a $100 tipping dinner event
- Cold plunge for 30 days straight
- Do a 4 day water only fast
- Run a half marathon
- Plan a friends trip that you are fully in charge of
Hard
- Throw a party with a couple hundred people invited
- Volunteer to be head coach of a youth sports team your kid isn’t on
- Do 75 Hard
- If single, go out 3 nights in a row and open up 100 conversations
- Go on a solo trip out of the country for a week
- Call and forgive someone you never thought you could
- Read a new book every week for a year
- Have an ayahuasca experience
- Run a marathon
- Do a 7 day silent or darkness retreat
Instant Confidence and Fulfillment
- Do an Iron Man
- Learn how to play your favorite song on guitar or piano
- Learn a foreign language well enough to go to a country that speaks it and only use that language
- Write a book and self publish it
- Do a body building show
- Start a podcast and commit to doing one episode per week for a year
- Give a speech to a crowd of 200+ people
- Give up alcohol for a year
- Start a new company from scratch
- Join a men’s or women’s group where you get vulnerable, take off the mask, and allow yourself to be loved for who you really are
